Resourcefulness and collaboration with friends makes this well done holiday promo from photographer Ashley Gieseking a fun and tasty treat. The personal touch is extra nice.
Ashley says, “For our client holiday gifts this year,, I partnered with my friend, Hilary Clements (CD at Moosylvania), to create a modern cookies and milk themed card. Cards were printed locally by Top Graphics on a matte paper and are 5×5 accordion fold. They were paired with the gift in a translucent glassine envelope. For the gift, I enlisted my friend Simone Faure, former executive pastry chef for the Ritz Carlton and new owner of “Chouquette” a french pastry shop opening this January. Since her new shop isn’t quite up and running yet, she reluctantly agreed to make the cookies from her home kitchen, but suggested we do 1 large macaron per client, rather than lots of little ones. I loved the idea of a giant blue cookie, so we were in agreement. For the packaging (my favorite part!), I found paper hamburger boxes and wooden silverware on Etsy and had it expediated from the shop (FromSoul), which was located in S. Korea. Boxes arrived just in time to package the cookies and handstamp each client’s name on the fork and knife. We kept it pretty short and sweet this year. Cards went out to around 25 people, but the gifts were only delivered to a lucky 13.”
