With these two promos, photographer Kristyna Archer has chosen slightly different formats which both work well for a sequence of images and to communicate a narrative approach. Each promo shares a different body of work and together communicate the range of photographs Kristyna is shooting. She pairs copy and images together to tell her story about the work and who she is as a photographer. Kristyna says, “I am focusing on showing the breadth of my photography work in large scale promos a few times a year, as well as to showcase my storytelling aspect- so these mediums seemed appropriate.”
The first image in this newspaper promo is quite striking and paired in an interesting way with the copy. These relationships continue throughout the promo.
Kristyna said, “One is a newspaper promo piece I sent out 2 weeks ago to 500 of the top creatives that was comprised of the work I created for a recent job with GREY for Canon.”
Kristyna told me, “The second is a 6 card 5×7 sized mailer pairing my portrait work with my personal travel work, enclosed in a clear plastic envelope.”
